help with correct calculation of absense from uk

ho gurus
i have been reading so many post regarding the above subject , everytime i read a new post , i get more confuse.. i know that absense should not be more than 180 days in 5 yrs and no single absense should be more than 90 days. i have listed my travelling dates. can you aplz advise if they are correct:
HSMP
20 NOVEMBER 2006 TO 20 NOVEMBER 2008

TIER 1
20 NOVEMBER 2008 TO 20 NOVEMBER 2011

Travelling Stamps:

Departure Date Date of Arrival No of days
5Th October 2009 to 24th oct 2009 19 days
27th may 2006 to 18 th June 2006 23---not valid as travelled before November 2006
17th January 2008 to 31st January 2008 15 days
4th January 2009 to 22nd January 2009 18 days
9 September 2007 to 27th September 2007 18 days

Total no of days 70days till October 2009


Please advise as i am planning to travell again and accordinglr spend the days

Hi

Your understanding of absences is right.

Your calculations also seem right to me.

I am going for my ILR too under HSMP JR and the way I've calculated mine in counting days including my travel in and out of UK; for example

11 - aug -2006 to 15-aug-2006 (5 days)

calculating it your way would come to 4 days which I think makes more sense.

However in the SET(O)form you just have to fill in the dated and not the number of days..(I could be wrong)

Anyhow you are well within the 180 days limit however you count..so you will be fine

Just to clarify , the travel days( both) are not counted as you are in UK on those days.
So 11/08 to 15/08 is 3 days of absence.

hi , is there any document or link that suggest us how the case worker calcultate days of absense?

There is a link to case workers manual on this forum, suggest you search for it. It pretty much says what I posted earlier.
