some of you may remember me as 2 years ago i had problems getting my husband from Africa to the UK and it took one year of going through appeal courts, evetually he got his visa and has now been living in the uk since Febuary 2009. We got married in Feburary 2008 so have been married for 2 years.
I under stand that to apply for indefinte leave to remain you have to be in the UK for 2 years, however because we have been married for 2 years and APPLIED for his visa 2 years ago do you think we can apply for indefinte leave to remain now?
also does anyone know how much it costs.
thanks yael

He will be eligible for ILR after completing 2 years in the UK from the date of entry in the UK - and not 2 years from date of marriage or date of visa application/ issue.

840 (postal application), 1095 (PEO in-person application)

also important you check the expiry date on his visa in his passport. you need to ensure that you either apply for ILR or for an extension of his spousal visa before the expiry date
