ILR Query - Two WPs + Tier 1 combination

Hello everybody,

I had a few queries on my ILR application in June.

Background:
I came to the UK on a student visa (2003), switched onto another student visa in (2005), then got a job on a work permit (2005) and switched jobs again on a work permit (2006). Finally moving onto Tier -1(2008).

All the while I have been employed.

Application form query:
"Section 6 - Immigration History
6.1 - When did you first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay on which the application is based"
>> This has thoroughly confused me. So what is the answer to this query?
>> Do I declare the date of first entry to UK - 2003? or something else? As I was in the UK on a student visa during my WP application and subsequent approval / ILR is the date supposed to be the start date as per my first Work Permit?

Documentation Query:
What documents do I need to provide along with this application to satisfy requirements for ILR SET(O)?:
"Section 9 - Documents
Requirement 9L Tier 1 (General Migrant) - Evidence that you are economically active in the UK in employment - The evidence should take the form of documents showing your personal earnings"
>> I assume this is the last 3 (or 6) months bank statements and payslips? [along with the letter from employer]

"For that period before you were granted leave as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant, documents showing that you have met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules"
>> Does this mean I should submit:
>> - Work Permit approval letters
>> - Leave to remain letters for both WPs
>> - Tier 1 approval letter
>>Also does this mean I need to provide them with all payslips (and bank statements) for past 5 years (on work permits)?

I tried finding information in this forum by searching for it. But there are way too many entries in the search results! :) :) :)

Your assistance is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

A

The day you entered the country with the WP, if you were already in country the date WP is stampped. They want to know when you entered the country in the qualifying capacity...

hi shs123 thanks for your reply.

it is still not clear what you mean by that...you are just restating what is in the form!

so in my case does it then mean:
I enter the date of the last time I entered the UK before i got my WP whilst in country?

strangely enough they are asking - when is the first time you entered the UK!!!

would appreciate it if the seniors in the forum could also provide their feedback!

The issue date of the leave to remain stamp that you were granted on the basis of your WP.
