Hello,

I received a copy of my SAR from the HO today, however, I cannot determine where I can pick out any gaps.

My first GAP i suspect is:

WP Feb 2002 - Feb 2007

Left Employer 5 Nov 2004
New WP Application sent to HO 24 Nov 2004- Acknowledged 25 Nov 2004
Requested more docs 25 Nov 2004
Application with HO from 01 Dec 2004 and approved 15 Jan 2005.

Second GAP:

WP Jan 2005 - Jan 2010

Left Employer 30 ApriL 2005
Dependent Student Visa submitted 23 May 2005
Acknowledged 25 May 2005 by HO
Granted 05 June 2005.

Now on WP since Jan 2006.

We have letters and the backup from the SAR for these dates.

Are these gaps in my Visa's. All applications were made in the UK.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Denise

I don't see any gap in your residence. Your stay is legal since you have valid leave to remain from 2002. Any legal stay in the UK will count towards to ILR in 10 years long residence category.

You will be eligible to apply for ILR in January 2011 based on 5 yrs on current WP employment. Why are you worried about the immigration history prior to January 2006.

I cant apply under the WP catergory due to being out of the UK for around 310 days due to spending my maternity leave abroad with my family. I wasn't too well so my mum helped me for the 6 months, however I always made sure to return to the UK within 3 months.

My daughter also stayed with my mum because childcare costs were too expensive for us especially with the mortgage rates going up back then, so we spent every opportunity going back to see her.

Therefore attempting the 10 year route.

We could kick ourselves but thats our fault for being so silly.
