Changes to ILR from July 2011

Hi,
Sorry if this has been posted previously. I was listening somewhere that HO will stop doing ILR from July 2011. Is this correct?
I also wanted to ask that I have been in the UK for about 6.5 years now. 6 years as a student, and last 6 months as PSW. What changes are affecting me?
