Hi,

I have received my HSMP visa starting date as 15/01/2008. After settling things in India, I landed in UK on 16/02/2008.

After 23 months I applied for extension and received my tier 1 visa valid till 15/01/2013.

Considering the above dates...Experts, please may you advise ..

1)I am eligible to apply for PR status before 15/01/2013(last date till I can remain in country).
2)Apply for tier 1 extension and on successful application apply for PR.

From above, I complete 5 years of stay only on 16/02/2013. Some where I read, PR application can be made only 28 days before 5 years completion.

Given the fact that your current leave will expire (15-Jan-13) more than 28 days before your 5th anniversary in the UK (16-Feb-13), you'll need to apply for leave to remain (extension) and upon approval apply for settlement (ILR).
