Time off from work and ILR

My wife is eligible for ILR in August 2011 but she wants to take some time off from work now. How does it affect her application?
I looked at Set O form and it is written that she has to provide proof of economic activity. She has continuously being employed for past 4 years. Will the unemployment for few months before ILR application adversely affect her case? What is accepted as a proof of economic activity?
Additional Info: She came here in UK in August 2006 on HSMP. After her first extension she received Tier 1 which is valid till August 2011.
