Hi! I'm Going To Send My Wifes ILR In November 2010 For Settlement She Has Been Living With Me For Nearly 2 Years Now. Does She Have To Take The New English Test Provided By The Home Office? She Has Passed Her Life In The UK Test Long Ago. Some People Say She Does Need To Take The New English Test? And Some People Say She Doesn't Have To Take The New English Test? Please Help Me Out I'm Very Confused? Thank You!

And Another Question:

How Much Do I Need To Put In My Bank Account A Week? My Wages Don't Go Directly Into My Bank Accout My Employer Pays My Cash In My Hand (Legit Taxi Business) Tax Gets Deducted As Well And I Have Got £5000 IN My Bank Account Right Now! I Get Paid £193.22 After Tax My Top Earning Is £226.00 Before Tax I Put My Cash In The Bank Every Week Like This: £80 Next Week £90 Then Next Week £75 Then Next Week £95 Etc....

Am I Doing Everything Right? Please Help Me Out!

The new English test, effective 29 Nov 2010, is for people applying for leave to enter / remain as partner of British citizens or people settled here.

Since your spouse will be applying for settlement and not leave to enter / remain, she doesn't need to take the test.
