CCJ in Another Country

Dear All,
I am currently waiting on the decision for my settlement case (SET(O) app). Having gone through all the boards and looking at some of the possible complications, I decided to run a records check in my home country...it came up with a ccj in 2007 of which I know/knew nothing about (I've been here solidly for 7 years now without travel). I don't recognise the plaintiff's name, but it looks as though a judgment was passed for monies outstanding. I am ringing a relative's solicitor this week to see if this actually pertains to me...
Now, my query is, do I send a letter to HO explaining my recent finding? Or do I take the wait and see approach? Their was nothing deceptive in my completion of the application, this was a total surprise (and something I obviously need to sort).
Ta,
Sib
