Hi, I am in the UK on a Work Permit that is almost up and have a few questions.

1. My bank balance is in a - , I have a very good credit History but I do like to use it :P My pay has also bee cut considerably since I started in my Job almost 5 years ago. what effect will this have ?

2. I am doing my Life in the Uk test very soon, is it very hard and secondly how long would I have to wait to re-take it.

I am terrified of this application as my life is here, I have no family to speak off back home and have a girlfriend and friends here.

Thanks in advance.

Just to Clarify

Right Now I take home about £268 a week after tax, which is plenty for me to live comfortably on.
I can easily get 3 months wage slips.
I have not been out of the country at all since I started.
I have been with the same employer for 5 years and am so well liked I could basically write my own reference letter.
My employer definitely wants to keep me.
My girlfriend would happily write me a character reference.
I have never had any form of Criminal Conviction Either here or back home.

Will my relatively low £268 a week make it hard to be approved ?

Again thanks in advance for any advice you have to offer.

Hi, try not to worry, read my success story - posted 4th Nov. That might help you.
I am also on £1,000 a month. They don't look at how much you earn, only if you have had no public recourse to funds.
I am sure you will be ok
Just bring what they require.
Get a reference from your boss

:D

Thank God

I have never used or asked for any public funds, I work for a living. Thank you so much for that, I feel a lot better, the thought of my life being changed so quickly by forces outside of your control and against my will is just scary. :)
