Maintenance funds / Tenancy agreement for ILR

Hi everyone,
I am currently living and working in UK as tier 1 (General) applicant. I will be applying for ILR in may 2011.
My query:-
(1) Do we have to prove any maintenance funds requirements for me and my wife, if We are applying for Indefinete Leave to remain in UK in May 2011 ?
(2) Do we have to provide any "Tenancy Agreement", if we are renting a flat in london?
