Hi everyone,

I wonder if you guys can help me. To get ILR, one need to show their self assessment return if they are self-employed or director of the company who gets salary and dividends. I have always submitted self assessment online and when you ask HMRC to send your tax record, they can only send statements which are printed out from online account and not the original ones. Are these print outs are accepted by HO? i was wondering if anybody came across this situation before and what did they do to overcome it.

Thanks for your help!

The HMRC statement of tax will be fine. Although I'm not sure why you're not receiving a statement in the post showing tax paid or tax due.

I have misplaced one or two letters from HMRC. Its not much long left for me to apply for ILR now. Has anyone shown the copies of self assessment statements from HMRC for ILR? Any help on this topic will be much appreciated.
Thanks!
