Hi All,
I am on work permit visa from June 2006 & I'm working for the same company from past 5 years. My visa expires in June 2011.

I was about to apply for ILR in May 2011. But the rules for ILR may change in April 2011, i may not meet the criteria since i have 6 points on my driving licence.

In such case do i need to apply for Tier 2 or can i extent my work permit visa??
Can anyone suggest.

you can do either. but you personally cant extend work permit visa. your company has to get your work permit / work visa.
