Hi there,
I will be completing 5 years in June'11. And as per rules I can apply for ILR in May'11.

Following is the summary of visas:

1. Entered UK in June'06 on work permit valid till 05/11/2007.
2. Applied for extension of WP well before the expiry of first one. But it was valid from 12/11/2007.
3. Applied for tier1 visa in June'08 valid till Sep'11

As there is a gap of 7 days between first WP expiry and WP extension stamping. Is it going to affect ILR. Will it be consider as break in residency. I was in the UK when extesion was applied.

Thanks in advance. Please help me out

its a very minor issue. to cover youself as you applying in may 2011 apply 2nd week of may to cover those 7 days but i dont think it will be a problem.

Its HO issue that when they have stamped and they also know you were in UK at that time because your passport was with them

and i think They can't refuse on this pity thing.

other member give your thoughts please.

Same Case

I am also on WP and same but gap is 3 days though I have got a letter from HO regarding Payment confirmation before my visa expire.

Moreover anyone must submit the application before expiry and visa stamp can vary as it depends on Home Office ...

My ILR is due in March so will keep u posted
