ILR Dependant Visa

I'm going to apply for ILR along with my wife and kid as dependants.
My wife is in dependant visa from sep 2007. Also my kid was born in UK in Sep 2008. Both are out of the country from Dec 2008 till Jun 2009 and Oct 2010 till Nov 2010.
Is there any Absence criteria for dependants? Also does kids needs to be in dependant visa for more than 2 years to apply for a ILR?
