Is there a limit on how many times u can take life in uk test, and does it have any effect on the ILR application.

actually, there is: it's how much money you have in your bank account.
The test costs £34 a pop.

No Raj, there is no limit, only thing that you need to know is that the test costs £34.70 each time and you will have to wait for 7 days to book another if you fail once.
Anyways its very easy pal, i would suggest you to use the Cd method as its very much effective on people who take the test and just relax, dont panic.
