Payslips - ILR

How important is the requirement for providing last three months payslip while applying for ILR .If I have been successfully employed for most of the year but am not at the time of application of ILR would it make a difference to satisfying the criteria of being economically active ...Is it only the last three months that count ...Please share your thoughts ....
