ILR Absence - employer letter missing

hi All,

I will be(hopefully) applying for ILR next year. However I had a question about number of days outside UK and business visit. I think i will be having 160 days outside of UK by the end of my 5 year qualification period, of which there is a 4 day business visit for 10 weeks ( so total 40 days ) in year 2008. This was a business requirement, unfortunately i am not with the company anymore and I am unable to get a letter from them as of now. Will this be an issue ? given that I was out less than 180 days, do I still need to justify my absence ? If yes then is it enough that I have got payslips from that time and i have a got an invitation letter which the Belgian branch of that company gave me to help me with my business visa ? I also got a company letter from UK branch then, stating that I will be travelling and will be sponsored by company. But this was all when I applied for business visa.

Kindly help

It is advisable to have a letter however as your absences are less than 180 days total there shouldnt be any problem. Additionally you have the payslips and invitation letters from belgian company, so you should be ok.
