We are getting ILR documents together for my husband and are wondering about adding some photos from outings with friends, bbq with neighbours etc.

Part of me thinks these are unnecessary as they are not asked for on the ILR form BUT then again, they are some of our proof that my husband and I are still together and he is settled into life in the UK throughout the 2yrs of his spouse visa.

Should we add a few photographs taken over the last 2yrs especially very recent ones?

Also, should we send a set of photocopies of our documents for UKBAS's records or is this just adding to the cost of posting the documents and filling up their office with unneccessary paperwork?

We will keep a set of p'copies for ourselves.

1. You dont really need photos to go in there, you can put ohter pieces of doucments such as Council Tax, Tenancy Agreement, Letters of her/yours coming at the same address. Utility bills of your both coming at the same address is sufficient to confirm that you have been together.

2. If you send photocopies no harm since they will require anyways, so it is good.

1.No need to send pictures
2.HO doesnt ask for any photocopies, they will make their own.

Not sure which category OP is applying under but HO do ask for photocopies now; atleast they do for new SET(O) form (Section-10; Documents)

Tick the relevant boxes to show the documents you are providing. They must be originals. You should photocopy each of these documents and provide the copies in addition to the originals. You should also provide passport/s along with photocopies of any pages that contain personal details, visas or immigration stamps (foreign or UK).

SET(M) form also asks the applicant to provide photocopies of supporting documents.

Section 1 - Spouses wrote:NOTE: For applications dated on or after 01 August 2010, the SET(M) form requests that applicants submit both originals and photocopies of the documentation that is to be relied upon. If no photocopies are submitted, caseworkers should ensure that copies are made and placed on file. Copies of all documentary evidence submitted should be retained on file.
