New Rules

As I understand it, under the old rules pre April your financial requirements where only that you where economical active and self sufficient, while under the new rules you are required to earn considerably more in some cases than you did at the start of your employment.
Is this correct or am I missing something ?

I believe you have to earn the same amount or more since the start of your employment..
