Hello,

First of all,I would like to thank the forum for their suggestions and help.

Had an appointment on 3rd May 2011 at 3PM .

Reached at 2.30 to UKBA Croydon office.
Step 1- showed the appointment letter at the entrance
Step 2- Security Clearance, it took around 5 minutes
Step 3- Ground floor- Application , documents checks ( after that got a ticket to pay the Fees), it took around 10-15 mints
Step 4- On 1st floor paid Fees (Token issued for the appointment
), it took around 5 mints
Step 5- Number called at 3.15PM to meet the caseworker

Documents asked and submitted
- Set (O)Application form
-Passports (for all of us)
- Life in UK Test Certificates (Me & wife)
- Current employer letter
- Employment Proof for workpermit period( Had P60s for previous 3 years 2006-2009)

- P45 for a company during workpermit period ( I guess they could not connect that when i left that company and joined the new company)

-Cohabitation Documents (Gave 2010-11council tax + 2011-2012 council tax)

-Bank Statements -She asked 12 months Bank Statements ,We had 6 months with us and was planning to give 3 months as it was clearly mentioned in the form but I guess she didn't know, she went to check her supervisior and said her supervisior is ok with 3 months.

- Lst 3 months payslip

by then it was already 4 PM, She asked us ,if we have copies of all the documents? which we had and we submitted the same. She said give me 30 minutes and I will give back your passports, it was already 4.15PM. At 4.40PM got the passports with ILR Stamp :).

Note-
1)Pls carry Photocopy of all the documents as it will save a lots of time.
2) Try to carry P60, P45 and a documents from each employer (for workpermit period). Incase case worker can't find out that when you join and left companies.

Thanks & Regards,
Suresh
