ILR Application- Issue over Earnings

Hi,

I am about to apply for ILR in July this year and have an issue for which I believe would need help for information from the board members

I am on WP from 2006. Worked for a company till Jan 2008 from 2006 and shifted to another company who sponsored my WP. I was offered 36k as the pay. In the first year, got the correct pay and some additional bonus. During the second year i.e 2009-2010, due to the recession, my company asked me to take a pay cut for atleast one year or face redundancy. My pay was reduced to 18k. a 50% drop.

In March 2010, i applied for Tier 2 and my pay was brought up as per the Tier 2 requirements. Further on there was no reduction.

My question is:
1. Would the pay cut for one year make me ineligible for ILR?
2. Would I have to submit any documents to Home office for explaining the scenario?

Thank you all for your assistance. Really appreciate it.

Kind Regards

Your employer should have done a Notification of Technical Change of employment form to UKBA.

Read Technical changes of employment any reduction in salary of more than 30% needs reporting under this guidance.

Thank you so much for the reply. I have to check with my employer.

However would this change effect my eligibility for the ILR in anyways?
I am kind off concerned that this paycut by my employer might result in Home office rejecting my application.

It does violate your WP terms and conditions, hence as I wrote earlier, you need to sort it out before applying for ILR
