Hi

I am asking this question on bahalf of one of my friend she is on Tier 1 (General) and she was made redundant from her job and was out of Work for about 5 months looking for jobs.

And her ILR is due next year so the question is whether this going to effect her ILR application or not and if it will effect her Application then what should she do? Many thanks in Advance

Since ILR is now a PBS, she will need to score enough points for income, qualification and age to be eligible. Not working for a lengthy period will affect her chances of getting enough points for income. Time is quickly running out.

I have seen few cases on this forum about people's decision has been delayed (for the same day service) becouse they were out of work. Havent heard of anyone getting rejected purely on that basis

edit: In these cases people were unemployed at the time of the application and but they scored enough points from past earnings
