Settlement consultaion effect on existing Tier1 General

UKBA started a consultation from 9th June 2011 for changes in employment settlement rules.
As far as I understand, if I am granted my initial Tier 1 general in Feb2010, then there will be no change in the settlement rules and I will be able to apply for ILR after 5 years of living in UK.
