Hi All,
I am under HSMP Judicial Review policy (hsmp approved in October 2006) live with my family here in UK. I got redundant 2 weeks ago, now it is very difficult to find a job as my visa expires in August. Luckily I found a part-time job to which covers 16hrs per week & issue monthly pay slips. My question is can I use 16hrs per week payslips (for 2/3months) to show that I am still economically active ? I have last few years payslips, P60s till last month. Please help me on this case & share your experiences/knowledge....

Many thanks.

You are employed (albeit part-time) and if you remain so at the time of settlement application then, IMHO, you should be okay.

Thanks Sushdmehta, very helpful. That means case worker would accept part time job payslips & employer letter as proofs of employment regardless of hours & amount of pay? Doesn’t it required a full time employment?

Thanks again.

AFAIK there is no restriction on the type of employment for HSMP visa holder. As long as you can show that you satisfy all the requirements of the PBS, and still economically active, then that is acceptable.

HSMP JR covered migrants are not subject to PBS criteria.
