I am in the UK on Tier1 General and will have been here for 5 years next year in July when i wish to apply for ILR. Over the course of the last 3 years I have been unemployed for 10 months but now have a job. However my salary/earnings at my last job were 52K per annum and my new job is paying only 42K which is what I will be earning in the last year). Will I qualify for ILR in July 2012?

you fall under immigration rules in place before 2010 so you need to meet minimum for that. check your initial application and see what earning criteria were you required that time, same applies now.
