ILR qualifying date

Hi Everybody,

I came to UK on a student visa then switched to HSMP (in country application),
Subsequently entry clearance was stamped on my passport from the British Post in India.

My visa stamping date is 16 Oct 2006; arrival date is 31 Oct 2006.

In one of the threads I have read that if you switch to ILR qualifying visa ie HSMP from another category (in country) than ILR qualifying period starts from Visa stamping date and not from arrival date.

Am I right in assuming that my ILR qualifying date is 19 September 2011? (16 Oct 2006 - 16 Oct 2011) 5 years and I can apply for ILR 28 days before i.e 19 September 2011

Thanks in advance

You did not switch in-country but only received an HSMP approval in-country.
