A question to clarify:

I got my Tier 1 visa on 17th May 2010. I will be eligible to apply for PR by Feb 2012, any one can confirm whether i will be required to claim 75 points or 80 points in order to be granted a PR please?

Thanks in advance for your kind advise and help.

Dear Moderator,

I have read the document before prior to post my question. My confusion is how to understand this part, i quote below--it is on page 4 of the guidance

(d) If the applicant has or has had leave as a Highly Skilled Migrant, a Writer, Composer or Artist, a Self-employed Lawyer or as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the rules in place before 19 July 2010, and has not been granted leave in any categories other than these under the rules in place since 19 July 2010, the applicant must have 75 points under
paragraphs 7 to 34 of Appendix A.

My understanding of the above paragraph is: as long as my Tier 1 is granted before 19th July 2010, i am required 75 points. But i just want some one more expert than me to verify my understanding is correct---as you know, the application fee is quite high, a lot of money at stake here---do you have the same understanding as me? Thanks a lot!

Since you were granted T1G befor 19 you should be OK with 75 points.
