ILR Premium service

I went for a Premium Service appointment on 1 Jul 2011. After waiting for 4.5 hrs (croydon office, they were runninh 90 minute behind schedule), my caseworker concluded that my cohabitation document was insufficient.

So I was requested to sent original documents proving cohabitation with my wife from 2009 onwards by 14 days. I promptly sent those documents through special delivery in 3 days time. Rest of the documents and passports were retained by the case worker.

Does anyone have any such experience or know what happens now.? Will my application be treated as a normal postal application or will it be given some sort of priority? Any idea of time frame?

Please help.

Thanks

What sort of visa are you on now? I think it might take 3-4 weeks now.

Thanks mk357.

I am on a Certificate of Sponsorship from an 'A' rated sponsor. My current leave to remain expires Jan 2013. I have been with the same employer since last 5 years. So no complications.

Since every other documents are in place, I think it should not take months or weeks. What do you think.

What documents did you originally submit as Cohabitation proof, which they found insufficient? And what extra did you send by post to satisfy them. Reason why I am asking is because I too do not have sufficient cohabitation docs, and that worries me.

My caseworker requested proof of cohabitation for 2 years. I sent the following documents by special delivery. The documents should be addressed jointly or separately to the same address from 3 different sources.

1. Joint bank statements
2. Council tax demand notice.
3. TV license
4. A few NHS letters
5. Credit card statements.

It was my mistake, I didn't research properly. I had only marriage certificate. I should have carried everything.

Only cohabitation documents from 2009 onwards addressed either jointly or separately to the same address. All other documents are okay. They gave me a letter on the day stating they needed ' cohabitation from from 3 different sources from 2009 onwards..'. I sent the following.

1. Joint bank statements. sent from mid 2009 to Jan 2011
2. Council tax demand notice (addressed jointly) 2009/2010 and 2010/2011
3. TV license (addressed to my wife only) 2010-2011
4. A few NHS letters (addressed to both separately) Apr 2011
5. Credit card statements (addressed to my wife only) A few from 2011
6. Some doctors reports of my son addressed to us as' 'Parents of..'

I think these should be sufficient.

what do you think? Any idea how long it should take.

Many thnaks

i think the documents you have sent should be sufficient.I am not sure of the timescale

Did the caseworker ask you for P60? or just 3 months and 3 months payslips. Are you with same employer..?

I am with the same employer for the last 5 years. I had submitted P60 for the last 5 years.
Does anyone know whether my application will be decided from the Croydon office or will my application will be sent to Sheffield office. I was asked to send my cohabitation documents to the Croydon office.

I received a call from the Croydon Office yesterday to collect my documents and my ILR was successful. I collected my passports and other documents today. Which is a relief.

However, I found a couple of documents missing:
1. A few doctor's reports of my son I had sent as a cohabitation proof.
2. Biometric residence permits for self and family.

They had asked me to fill in a form with the missing documents. Which I did. They told me that they will get in touch.

I am not sure whether they do not return the biometric residence permit. In my opinion they should. Anyone has any similar experience.

Thanks for all your comments.

Hi good to hear that you got ILR.
Recently i got ILR and my wife got spouse visa, she has compeleted two years to qualify settlement visa.
We have same day appointment on 11/Aug/2011 and we are worried about
cohabitation documents for two years.

We have following documents:-

HSBC bank statements her name only, from july 2009 to july 2011.
Orange mobile phone bills her name only, from jan2011 to july 2011.
Only one GP letter on her name dated apr 2011.
Next directory statements her name only, from Dec 2010 to July 2011.

Are those documents sufficient to proof cohabitation documents for two years?

Thanks

Hi Imran,

You looks too worried. I am sure that the documents you have are more than sufficient.

You try to present only following along with your bank statement.
HSBC bank statements her name only, from july 2009 to july 2011

Remaining can be shown on demand. Hope you both staying in same address from last two years.
