hello there, i have an enquiry to made.

My friend, he came to the UK in 2001 as a student and was granted student visa until 2006. After 2006 he was granted discretionary leave to remain until 2010 then 2010-2014.

Therefore, from 2006-2010 and 2010-2014 he is under discretionary leave to remain. The question is can he apply for settlement in the UK after been residing for almost 6 years in the UK with discretionary leave to remain?

Looking forward to your reply.

I dont know regarding eligibility under discretionary leave but your friend may be able to apply under 10 years long stay category using SET(O) form, if he has legally stayed in teh UK for last 10 years.
