Hi All,

Can someone please answer my question regarding the settling in the uk. If a Tier1 migrant who works for a uk company stay outside the country for more then six(6) months (on company work) during the 5 years period, will he be able to pass the requirment of the home office for the permanent residency. Please confirm because i am not sure about this section of the Application form:
In the SET (O) application form page 20 Section D2 it ask following:

D2. Please confirm whether you have been outside of the UK for any single absence over 3 months or one or more absences which amount to more than 6 month in total during the 5 year period:
Yes
Go to question D3
No
Go to section E

The application could be found at following location:

3 months is the limit for one single work-related absence; six month is the limit for all periods of absence aggregated. Holiday absence are usually ignored.
