The article is referring to the Consultation awaiting deliberation. This is the forum thread running on the proposed changes to the regulations;

It's from the consultation and you can only know the details of the actual policy when it's announced. No one will know until then.

But to clarify your subject line, it's not just Indians. It's all non-EEA workers. The article only stated it as "Indian and other non-EU professionals" because it was in the Times of India.

Thank you gernorp...that needed clarifying before members were mistakenly led to believe that Indian nationals had been singled out.

Hi,

I've read the consultation paper and I've few questions to get clarified.

I followed the below link and it is mentioned that "We are reviewing how those who come here to work in Tiers 1 and 2 may be granted indefinite leave to remain, or settlement, in the UK."

Reference: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... ettlement/

Can you please let me know whether this consultation is also referring to the migrants who are already in the UK as Tier 1 (General) migrant and about to apply for ILR in another 1 year time.

Looking forward for your reply.

Regards,
