sorry if am a bit late as get my IRL recently but couldn't post it till today.
but I wanted to share my experience as reading others was helpful for me so better do it late than never

was in WP then switched to T2 with another employer

reached before appointment by 30 min as requested, passed security check, people were really nice and helpful their .. then you go to first counter to check your documents. those documents been asked :
- filled form
- last 3 bank statements
- last 3 payslips
- passports (new & old) + biometric
- life in UK test
- current T2 employers (2 letters): one for salary & code of practice and one confirming he still want me and specifying which day i started + i offered her my previous WP employer letter confirming my salary and start and end day, she happily took that too

i had way many other documents with me just in case (p60s, payslips, bills...etc), but as advised here (in the forum) you give them just what they want, offering a pile of papers they don't need won't help you get your IRL faster, but sure bring them all with you just in case.

anyway after 10-15 min checking and typing, she was satisfied and give me the token, gone to 1st floor, paid by debit card, then waited

my token was called 20-25min later.
she asked for my documents, I give here all mentioned in the above list but she asked for the police registration, and then i asked her if she need other documents like bills as prove of cohabitation, she took them, and i asked her if she need photocopies, she took them too (all my documents were organized even photocopies in categories which made her life easier and will save you time in process). then I asked her if she needed any other documents, she was satisfied, and asked me to go and have a coffee outside or shop and come back 1 hour later, told her, may be i can stay in case you needed other documents, she said no, what you provided seem enough & straight forward. so went outside with my wife & kid.
came back 80min later, and still my token seem not been called , had to wait 20-30 min and they called my name .. took the passport with IRL

overall experience was 100 time better than what i expected, people treat you well and they are really helpful if you needed any help or Qs

PS. i only applied for me and my wife, will apply for citizenship for my child, so didn't include him. and I made all new/previous employers sign and stamp every document they provided, don't know if that is needed tbh, but wasn't sure, so why not do it if you can.

hope that will be helpful for people who will be applying soon
cheers & good luck
