Requirement of 2 year minimum stay of Wife and Son

Hi,
I have one query on minimum 2 year stay period required for wife and son to be eligible for ILR dependent.
Is the 2 year period is immediate before date of application or it is any 2 year continuous stay within 5 years. I came in Aug 2007 and since then staying continuous 5 years. But my wife and son came in 1st May 2008 and stayed for 2 years i.e. till 22nd May 2010 before return to India. They again came back on 15th April 2011 and completing just 1 year before I become eligible to apply for ILR.
It is too early to ask but I just wanted to know whether I can include them in my SET(O) application as dependent.
