For e.g :

I left UK 28/01/2006 and reached India 29/01/2006 and Returned UK 11/02/2006.

How do I calculate i.e from 29/01/2006 to 10/02/2006 = 13 days

I have to ignore date left in UK i.e 28/01/2006 and returned date 11/02/2006.

thats right...you dont have to include the day you left and the day you returned..

for example if you left on monday and came back on froday of the same week..

the day count is 3....(tue,wed,thurs)....

Many thanks for ur reply.

I have doubt about unpaid leave.

I took holidays (i.e both paid & unpaid leave at one time) How do I calculate these total days away from UK

For e.g
I left Uk 6/02/2010 and reached next day India 7/02/2010 and returned 21/02/2010 = Total days away = 14 am I correct??

My question is I took one week paid leave and next week unpaid holidays for below combined
i.e 06/02/2010 - 12/02/2010 paid leave
13/02/2010 - 21/02/2010 unpaid leave (5 working days)

I have last 5 years P60's - my question is
FY2009- 2010 - my P60 salary was shown is 33000.00 (but actual salary was 32000 + I had worktime paid = total 33000)
FY2010-2010 - my P60 salary was 32500.00(actual salary was 33900) (because I took extra holidays, unpaid leave so I got that FY 32500)

Q 1 . Is there is any issue for actual salary vs P60's?

Am applying ILR 1st week dec based on (WP, 3yrs + Tier 1, 2yrs)
For Tier 1 I need to show past earning from Dec2010 to Nov2011 = 33500 but my salary was 33900.

Q 2. Is ther any issue of past earning (33500) showing less than the current salary (33900)?

Q 3. my last Tier 1 visa got Feb 2010, at the time I shown past earning 33200? now my current earning i.e dec 2010 to nov 2011 = 33700.

Q4. for ILR visa to match same earning or above as shown in 1st tier 1 visa?
Q5. for above Q4. Is this right? not salary based ??

1980mohan wrote:I requested employer reference letter from my working place for unpaid holidays. "I haven't taken any bussiness trips"

I took 2.5 days unpaid holidays for last FY 2010-2011 and also brought 15 days unpaid holidays
Do we need to mention about unpaid holidays in the employee ref. letter?

Please help ! I am applying next week.

Unless the absences are on account of business reasons or annual / paid leave, there is no reason for asking an employer to certify any (other) absences ... because any such absences would be for "personal reasons" an nothing to do with your employer.
