Hie guys. Wondered if anyone can help. Just realised that my visa will expire 20 days before my full 10 years legally in the u.k. my questions are as follows.

I understand that according to the rules I can apply for ILR at least 28 days before the full ten years. so if i leave the u.k 20 days before my full 10 years. can i still apply for ILR when I reach my home country?

thanks in advance

No, you have to apply from inside the UK.

thanks

interesting. so do you think its possible to send my application say a day or two before my visa expired? (even though technically it expires 20 days before my full 10 years)

You can apply no earlier than 28 days before the 10th anniversary of the beginning of the the decade of residence you are citing, but no later than the expiry of your current leave. So, from what you have stated, you have an 8 day window in which to dispatch your application.
