I finally got my ILR after 4weeks of waiting for approval.

Submitted my application at the Cardiff PEO on 26,October.

Documents submitted at the PEO as an old workpermit older;
1) 5years P60 (lost my 2007 P60,but got an alternative P60 from my employer,signed and company stamp)You can't get an original copy of P60 once you lost it.
2) The last 3month bank statements.
3)My life in uk test certificate along with that of my wife.
4)copies of letter addressed to me and my wife separately(The ukba requirement is that applicant send letters addressed to both patners).But I had no letters addressed to both of us.I had to send letters addressed separately to both of us.

Letters sent: Landline telephone bills,Bank statements,Gas & electricity bills,television license bills for the last 2 years.I got a letter from my landlord confirming that my wife and I have lived together in the same address as married couples for more than 2 years.

5) All old and current passports belonging to me and wife along with my daughter.
6)Marriage certificate
7)My daugther's uk birth certificate
8)The last 3months payslips.
9)Letter from my employer cofirming that I have worked in company for the past 5 years and that I am still needed in the forseeable future.signed and with the company stamp.

After submitting my application on the same day service at the Cardiff PEO,I was called after 3hours by the UKBA caseworker,to come the the Cardiff PEO.After I got to the Cardiff PEO, the case worker requested that I go back to my employer and request for the soc code for my current job position and I submit the requested letter within 2weeks or my application could be refused.I was confused, wondering why would a old workpermit holder need a soc code for the current job.I went back to my work place and spoke to the HR,but the HR still insisted that I don't need a soc code for my job.She called the UKBA helpline,the ukba worker that answered the phone also said that I don't need soc code.From my experience whenever you call the UKBA helpline their staff will get different views to the question you pose to to them.(different views/opinions by ukba staff to the same question depending on who picks your call).The helpline don't really help on crtical issues.
The following day I went to the HR to convince them that the soc code is now a mandatory requirement for old workpermit olders.I showed my HR some series of pages in the UKBA website.The HR finally searched for a soc code that closely matched my job description and that my salary is above the minimum wage for that particular code.I submitted the employer letter indicating the soc code the same day to the ukba office.My ILR was approved by the ukba after 4 weeks despite using same day service.I asked the case worker why it took 4 weeks,his response was that that they had to review and investigate all the details I submitted.
