I applied for discretionary leave for my family in Aug 2011, no response was heard from home office, so my family social worker decided to contact the UKBA on the 2nd of dec 2011 to check the progress of my application, my solicitor also contacted them; to my greatest surprise, UKBA claimed that a refusal letter was sent on the 27th of october 2011 by a recorded delivery, but my solicitor did not recieve this in the post. Do anyone have a suggestion?

1. Ask HO to provide the delivery number to verify this or re-send the letter.
