Urgent -More than 120 days of absense in two visits to india

Hi all, I have >then 120 days of absenses (one in 127 days and other one 133 days) in 5 yrs of time and rest of all short trips. I got the letter from employer as those are part of business trips. I have been working for the same employer for last 5 years.
Rest of all things are very great at my end except absenses.

My question is, Is it good to go with lawyer or myself????

what the difference, if i get lawyer only when i will get rejected for appealing??

I am eligible for ILR on january 2012 but i have valid visa till March 2013.

please provide your valuable suggetions ASAP as i had a in person appointment with Home office on 20th January-2012....

You may be fine if the absence was work related, and you continued to maintain ties with the UK. Short holidays will be excluded

Hi Economist, my suggestion would be to get initial consultation from solicitor if absences is the only topic you are concerned about. I am sure if you have employers letter explaining rational for your higher absences it should be acceptable. You may still be ok just going through youself and keep the solicitor on standby as you can always use him for appeal if need be. Of course its your call though.

I have a similar question.

I have a total of 67 holidays with 4 unpaid holidays in a trip to India. All absences are personal holidays. Do I still need employers letters as I am well within threshold of 180 days?

Very unfortunate about the time remaining on the visa. UKBA loves to reject these cases and they pocket your money as the rules say you have no right to appeal. Look around, there are many, many cases of this!
