ILR + Tier 2 + fixed term contract

Hi,
I am currently on Tier 1 and my potential employer wants to apply put me on a 3 months fixed term contact and apply for a Tier 2 for me (I would not qualify for Tier 1 externsion). Once Tier 2 is granted, they would put me on a fixed term contract.
Once Tier 2 is granted, I could apply for ILR.
I was wondering if I can use payslips that correspond to fixed term contract + Tier 2 (same employer, same position, but no payslips) to apply for ILR.
