Hi Moderators / Boarders,

Thanks for looking into this message.
I am in a peculiar situation and need to know whether I am eligible for ILR.
I have come to United kingdom in January, 2007 on work permit for one year. In January, 2008 I got a work permit extension for 18 months and then one year work permit extension till June, 2010.
In July 2010, I moved to Tier 2 (Intra company transfer) and from then on I am in ICT only.

My question is as per UKBA website, ICT's issued after April, 2010 are not eligible for settlement. Does it apply to me as well or am I eligible for ILR ?

Thanks and Regards,
Kris.

You are not eligible.

ICT is the easiest visa out there with a miriad of loophole possibilities ( business loves it - particularily the Indian chop shops ).

It was recommended to remove the ICT visa altogether but Vince Cable pushed for it to continue or (s)he would quit,.

David Cameron gave into Vince but fortunately the condition was put in place that ICT visas would no longer be eleigible for settlement.

Rant over but this slimy litte visa cost me plenty of IT contract possibilities where Indian companies were taking the pi**. The net effect of the settlement change was extremely positive. Thanks Dave.

You are eligible as you haven't done the FRESH EC through ICT route. I think you have done your visa extension as T2 ICT, if it is yes then no problem you're eligible for ILR!!
