Hi!
I am going to apply ILR as 10 years long resident this summer.
I am currently hold Tier 1 (post-study). It seems that Post sduty visa is not be considered as Highly skilled.
In this case Do I need to obtain ESOL qualification, or just need to take Life in the UK test?

Can you please advice.

Kind regards,

Passing KOL test is sufficient to meet the KOL requirements.

Kind regards,
If you have PSW then your English should be higher than entry level 3 ESOL (one would hope) given that you have studied degree level inthe UK and therefore you need to take the Life in the UK test, not ESOL.

Thank you vinny and Greenie.

I have a Master's degree so assume that my english level is higher than level 3 ESOL.
But how should I prove it to a HO officer?
If I state this on a cover letter whould it be enough to avoid any confusion?
Since I cannot apply in person I am very worried about any misunderstanding...

Could you please give me your opinions?

Kind regards,

Please click on the links in vinny's post. You need to take the life in the UK test.

You don’t need to prove anything. As long as you pass LiUK test, you are fine. (Life in the UK test is superior to ESOL anyway).
