Hello dear forum users, I have been watching the forum silently since 2006 and had a lot of informations, thanks for all users for their useful posts.

I have got a question please.

I am in the UK Since 20 February 2002. I was a student until 2006.
In 2006 I got married and invited my wife too as a student. Once she came to the UK, I became a dependant to my Wife. My wife is currently on Tier1 POst Study work Visa ans I am a dependant to her.

Our visa is about to expire in May 2012.

The question is. Can I apply to ILR myself now?(being a dependant?)
If so, What is going to happen next?

Because my wife is still looking for a job and even I will have my ILR, Her visa will be expiring in May this year.

I am so confused and my brain is not functioning....

Can anyone please briefly explain how efficiently sort this issue???

Thanks very much for all the informations.

P.s: Can I book same day appointment for ILR if I am eligible for ILR?

Kind regards,
S.

As long as you are here legally for 10 years without any break you might qualify for ILR based on 10 years long residence.
