Hi all,

I am preparing to send my wife's SET(M) application in May 2012. I have Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK.

I have a permanent job at a Council but my bank account is not in good shape. Althought I have managed to borrow some money recently from a friend of mine, last few months my account has been overdrwan. I can certainly show my payslips and my bank account will confirm that I have received my pay in to my bank.

My question is we can try to maintain a blance of £1500 for next 2 months and apply for VISA in April or May 2012 or get last 3 months bank statements and payslips and send her application as soon as possible. Since she has lived 2 years for last December, she can apply for ILR at any moment from now on. Current bank balance is littole over £2000 but last 2 months as I mentioned before it has overdrawn. We have never received any public funds . Please advice me.

Thank you

Shawn

I don’t think so there is any maintenance requirement for ILR SET(M).

As long as you can show that you are employed and can support your wife without taking benefits, you should be fine. But it would be nice to have some funds available in your bank account which you already have.
