There is no difference in 1st extn or 2nd extn ... follow the same procedure as your 1st extension ...

u joking ???
for example if i got tier 1 in jan 2006 and my ilr due on jan 2011 right ???
in may 2009 - august 2009 i have 4 months absence.
so u mean i will be eligible for ILR in august 2014 ?? is this you mean ?? as i came back after 4 months in august 2009 ?
if yes i will extend my visa in jan 2011 will they give me extension till august 2014 ??
means extension for 3 years and 7 months ????
so if yes then which rules apply to me ? current one in 2014 or 2006 ones .....
if its true where it is written in UKBA website ? please advise its v confusing

Well if you had a gap of 4 months without any explanation for discretion, then its obviously a reset ... and you need to wait until 2014 ... if you can prove your absence as for business/ work purposes then you don't even need to extend and you will get ILR ...
If you apply for extension then you get further 2 years only ...
