ILR Application form - urgent query

Hi there

I'm due for an ILR appointment this week. I'm currently applying under work permit holder category and have been in the UK from the past eight years. I have been granted leave to remain in UK under work permit in March 2007 and I came to UK first on a student visa in September 2004.

I have quick question related to Immigration History Section 6:

Which date shall I write in the date of first entry to UK? March 2007 as per my work permit or original first date entry to UK (September 2004) which is a student visa?

Please respond to above urgently as I'm due for an ILR appointment later this week.

Your early response would be appreciated.

Best regards,
Sameer

from the question:
6 . 1 When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the
date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning of the period of stay
on which this application is based.

Therefore your date should be March 2007

May be put the oct 2004 date then enclose a letter explaining that you have switched in 2007, cant see it being an issue but i will let the seniors confirm the best way to tackle this

you don't need any covering letter for this - just mention the 2007 date when the WP / HSMP visa was stamped.
