Hi,

I need to request a letter from doctor to confirm that my wife has been registered with NHS for last two years for COHAB proof.

Is it must to address UK Border Agency PEO Address? Or is it ok the standard letter that GP gives addressing to 'whom it may concern'.

Please can someone help.

I have got a similar letter which is addressed to 'whom it may concern'.

Note - I have my PEO appointment mid March, so I cannot confirm if they accept it but NHS is one good source the HO considers.

I reckon you check with GP if they can address it to HO (if you explain to GP that the letter is for VISA purpose, they do provide required information).

But i think 'whom it may concern' bit should be enough. As HO need proof that both were living at the same address. If HO wants to verify they will do it anyway irrespective of it being addressed to them or addressed generally.

I do understand your concern - you do not want to leave anything unclear and leaves a chance for HO to ask more question.

Perhaps some senior members can shed some light.

Nope, my self and wife registered with them few years back, but never got a GP registration card.

I am not sure. You can take a letter from your landlord (with his/her contact detail) saying that both of you (family members) are living there since xxxxxx. It might be useful.

What do you mean by 'I am not sure'?

I have landlord agreements with both names, so do I need a letter from lanlord still? Also I have letters issued from local election department confirming wife and my self has been registered with the vote for last 3 years, that letter also address to 'whom it may concern'.

If there is a Tenancy Agreement with both name(s), it should be ok.

Hi

Please can you advise if previous letters from Homeoffice count as cohabitation documents.

I didnt have enough cohabitation documents for on my wife's name, so I had to submitt when applied for out ILR. the below is the list of ducuments I applied.

1) Letter from GP/ Hospital - 2
2) Bank Statements - 2
3) Letters from Homeoffice - 2
4) Letter from DVLA - 1
