Does anyone know if it is possible to present oneself to immigration control (to ask for entry under the EU directive) when arriving from Ireland? I understand that there are not normally immigration checks within the CTA? -

Am thinking of doing to Dublin for a few days with my Spouse who is currently in UK - this would save having to return to country of origin and applying from there
