Request to re-enrol biometric information

Post by smalldoll » Tue Dec 13, 2016 12:06 pm

Hi Guys,

I'm new here, have learned a lot from this forum.

I submitted my application on 3rd June and have enrolled biometric, got COA, now it is finally over 6 months, unfortunately I got another biometric letter yesterday.

It mentioned: I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but unfortunately the biometric information process was not successful. Therefore you must return to a participating Post Office branch to provide your biometric information taken so that we can proceed with you application.
Next Steps
You must enrol your biometric information as soon as possible, which should be no later than 15 working days from the date of this letter. This will help us to process your application as quickly as possible.

The enrolment is free of charge this time and I have done it yesterday.

Did anyone experience this situation as well? What happened after? Could anyone please let me know what is actually happening and will I still receive my decision letter soon? I was expected to receive my decision letter before Christmas, I am panicking now…

Welcome.

Yes, sometimes there are technical glitches at the POs that enrol biometrics.
Its not specific to EEA applicants it can happen to anyone who has to enrol.

You just need to re-enrol your biometrics and then sit tight and wait for the outcome.
No doubt HO is experiencing an avalanche of applications due to Brexit and target processing times may not be maintained.

Patience is a virtue
even in connection with immigration matters.
All that is gold does not glitter; Not all those who wander are lost. E&OE.
