Just carry both (expired and valid) passports with you. It is acceptable that a visa is in a previous passport.

If you are stopped again, ask for the Chief Immigration Officer and ask him/her to make sure their system is updated.

Thanks Jumbo for quick reply

But what about airline is ok with airline like Emirates or Kuwait (i will carry both passport old with valid Eea2 and new passport) bording pass ?
When i ring HO European inquiry centre they told me new application will take 6months to issue new Eea to ur new passport and we dont do premium service for Eea2 and if u want to travel its entirly up to immigration officer to let u in or not little irritating if u want to travel then take risk this way and depend on the day what immigration officer decide!!?

You have a valid RC. It doesn't matter that it is in an expired passport. You won't be the first one with this situation so I would think the airlines are familiar with the rules.

The contact centre statement is just a generic one which doesn't really say any thing. Surely every time you enter, it is down to the IO decision no matter what you present to him (although he is limited in his actions depending on what you present).

Don't be so sure that they'll just know. I have experience of travelling in this situation. What your visa's expired - I know look at the extension - I need to call my supervisor about this. Another situation, you've no visa in your passport - I know it's in the old one - oh better call my supervisor.

Always got where I wanted to go in the end.

Practical advice, be prepared and don't take no from an airline as an answer.

Firstly, go an see your Mum and I hope she is okay.

I would complain strongly about your past treatment at the border. You can even "pre-complain" about your past treatment and demand that it doesn't happen again.

You can travel with a visa in an old passport, no problem. I've done it many times, but be prepared for an airline clerk who hasn't seen this before. Be firm and polite and stand your grouund.
